After the success of Telecom Cricket League, Nisav Services has taken the initiative for Premier Cricket League again at Lucknow. Like Telecom Cricket League this Premier Cricket League is also about connecting different renowned corporate at a platform where they can show their passion for the game.

City’s own T20 venture, the Premier Cricket League, organized by Nisav Services in association with The Times Of India, came to a thrilling conclusion recently. The teams from Idea and MTS slugged it out to claim the coveted trophy in the finals. Idea took to batting first, piling up 160 runs in 20 overs with quite an amount of boundaries scored. In reply MTS team, which at one point was struggling at 90 with 7 wickets down and 4 overs remaining, came back heroically with some amazing batting skills displayed by Mukesh Chauhan. The batsman sent the Idea team bowlers into a tizzy with his masterful strokes, many of which found their way to the boundary. MTS team members blew the ‘vuvuzela’ at hand with every boundary scored to cheer the batsmen. Idea captain, played with tact and the tight bowling by the Idea bowlers resulted in a spectacular win for team Idea, who captured the trophy by 10 runs.
The post-match ceremony saw the distribution of prizes to the respective teams, where SMH Siddhiqui, captain of winning team and vice captain Sanjay Chauhan, were presented with the PCL cup 2012. Among others, Ravi Kumar from Airtel bagged the award for the Best Batsman of the tournament by scoring the only century, 108 off 54 balls while Anirup Singh from Idea was adjudged Man Of the Tournament.
“I’m proud of the fact that the tournament turned out beautifully and I believe it is the only sporting event in the country involving amateur teams from corporate world with such finesse and by the rules,” said Karan Singh, MD, Nisav Services, at the concluding ceremony.
